Improv Central

Sectors: Improv School and Community Space
Services: Full Brand & Website Launch

The Challenge

Improv Central is a new business and community space based in Alameda, CA, offering improv classes for everyday people. As a brand-new venture, they needed help with everything from marketing strategy to website development to launching their first round of classes and building an audience from the ground up.

The founder had the vision and the programming ready. What they needed was support turning that into a strong brand and online presence that would attract people, build trust, and fill seats.

What We Did

This was a full-scale launch project that started before the business even had a name. We began by developing a marketing strategy to promote their first offering, the Summer Sampler series, and their crowdfunding campaign. From there, we helped shape the brand, build a launch page, and roll out a steady stream of marketing content to grow their audience and generate buzz.

Here’s what we focused on:

  • Created a full marketing strategy and timeline to launch their first classes and fundraising campaign

  • Designed and wrote a pre-launch landing page with a clear call to action

  • Ran a drip email campaign, social content, and 1:1 outreach tools to drive signups, shares, and donations

  • Collaborated on brand messaging to clarify their unique approach and tone

  • Built the full website, including core pages like Home, Coaching, Team Training, and Membership

  • Set up and integrated Momence for booking, class registration, and membership management in time for their grand opening

The Outcome

Improv Central successfully launched with a thriving community and a strong digital foundation. Their crowdfunding campaign raised around $20,000 and their Summer Sampler classes filled up. By the time of their grand opening in September, they had a professional site, a fully integrated booking platform, and a growing audience of engaged followers.

Today, they have over 600 people on their email list, 500 social followers, and more than 30 paying members.

In Short

A full-scale brand and website launch for a new business that helped turn one founder’s vision into a thriving, community-centered reality.

Testimonial:

"I’m a DIY person, so I originally built my website myself. But as my business expanded, I realized I’d outgrown it. I needed my site to bring more people to my practice, to stand out more, and to better highlight my full team — especially on the staff page.

Salaams helped make my website really shine! They supported me with SEO optimization, formatting, accessibility, and gave incredibly helpful visual-spatial feedback that improved the overall feel of the site.

They were very communicative, friendly, and clearly skilled at what they do. Would I recommend them? Absolutely."
