The Challenge
Katie Borofka had a dated website that did not reflect who she is or how she works. The homepage contained a generic rainbow heart image and copy that didn’t clearly communicate the kinds of people she worked with or the type of therapy she offers. The language wasn’t persuasive or client-focused. The About page was especially overwhelming, with a long block of text that was hard to navigate.
Katie was working with a limited budget, so a full rebrand wasn’t in scope. We kept many of the visual elements she already had, including the logo and core structure. Within that framework, we focused on making high-impact changes that would better reflect her work and connect with the people she most wants to reach.
What We Did
We moved her site to Squarespace and focused on reworking the homepage and About section to make them more user-friendly, welcoming, and aligned with her goals.
Here’s what we focused on:
Redesigned the homepage with new copy and imagery that speaks directly to her target audience
Reorganized the About page into three clear, focused sections: About Me, My Approach, and Education and Training
Added meta titles and descriptions to improve SEO
Updated the site’s color palette to be softer and easier on the eyes
Added a privacy policy to keep the site compliant and build trust with visitors

Katie’s new site feels more grounded, more aligned, and far easier for potential clients to navigate. While we worked within the constraints of her existing brand, we were able to make major improvements to how the site communicates and connects. The end result is a more strategic and welcoming online presence designed to draw in aligned visitors and help convert them into clients.
