The Challenge
Body Mind Improv is the practice of Marcia Kimmell, a drama therapist and actor offering creative, embodied therapeutic work. Her old website was extremely outdated and no longer serving her. The design felt clunky, the messaging was unclear, and the site didn’t speak to the people she wanted to reach. It also lived on an outdated platform that was hard to maintain and even harder to navigate.
Marcia needed a fresh start. Something that would reflect the depth of her work and actually help her connect with her ideal clients.
What We Did
We moved her site to Squarespace and built everything from the ground up. This project included branding, copywriting, visual design, and a fully custom site build.
Here’s what we focused on:
Developed a brand identity that felt creative, grounded, and aligned with her work
Wrote client-centered, StoryBrand-informed copy to make her message clearer and more engaging
Designed a clean, welcoming homepage that helps visitors quickly understand who Marcia is and how she can help
Built the full site in Squarespace, making it easy for her to update and maintain over time
The Outcome
Marcia’s new site finally reflects the thoughtfulness and creativity of her work. The homepage now clearly communicates what she offers and who it’s for. The branding and visuals feel cohesive and intentional. And the new platform makes it much easier for her to manage content going forward. The result is a site that not only looks better, but actually works better too.
