Sectors: Psychotherapy Practice | Oakland, CA
Services: Full Brand and Website Rebuild

The Challenge

Viola Mejia is a psychotherapist based in Oakland who came to me with a website that felt completely disconnected from her work. The visuals were generic, the copy didn’t reflect her voice or values, and nothing about the site communicated the depth or uniqueness of what she offers. She wanted a site that not only looked better, but actually felt like her.

She needed to build a brand and an online presence that honored her Chicana identity, her anti-capitalist values, and the kind of care she provides.

What We Did

This was a full branding and website project. We started with a deep discovery and brand process to define her visual and narrative identity. From there, we designed and built a site that brought it all to life.

Here’s what we focused on:

  • Created a custom visual identity including color palette, typography, and illustration

  • Wove in traditional Mexican artwork and motifs as visual elements to ground the site culturally

  • Wrote new copy in a voice that reflects Viola’s values and approach, especially her anti-capitalist lens

  • Designed and built a Squarespace site that feels personal, grounded, and intentionally different from most therapist websites

  • Chose images that speak directly to the people she most wants to work with

Before

After

The Outcome

The final site is bold, grounded, and completely aligned with Viola’s identity and practice. It feels welcoming, thoughtful, and deeply intentional. Viola shared that the clients reaching out to her now are much more aligned than they used to be. The brand speaks directly to her people and sets a tone that builds trust and resonance from the start.

In Short

A full rebrand and site rebuild that helped a culturally rooted, values-driven therapist show up online in a way that’s clear, unique, and true to who she is.
